Thank you for the game!

I liked how vibrant the art is and found the main puzzle genuinely interesting! It was hard but manageable, and after a couple of attempts did eventually won. Really loved the idea of the maze after I realized its purpose! All and all, the riddles were cool and you've done a good job putting it all together. Very impressive for your first Bitsy game!

As a little quality of life improvement for the future, I would suggest using a sequence list for the NPCs with long dialogues, that player has to interact multiple times with. This way after reading the dialogue for the first time they would not have to do it again later (especially relevant for the first demon).

I also found it a bit difficult to find a way to the room with the ritual. I think a small blinking animation or a more contrasting tile would make navigation in the house much easier.

P.S.: lovely fake-out in the end, it got me go "Whaaaaat???" for a moment

First of all thank you for playing my game. I liked your genuine feedback and trust me in the next bitsy game jam I will definitely going to  use your mentioned tips inside my game😊.

I really love the art in this game, both the  color palette and the environmental sprites (though I agree with onion re: items being hard to differentiate). The pentagram room is my favorite and Muku is really funny too!

I look forward to seeing more of your games!

Thank you for playing and for the feedback πŸ™‚.

this was fun! a little hard to win when you don't know what the objects you are picking up are but otherwise was really fun! i wrote down the clues on a note pad and had fun being like "am i sure its that item??" and having the demon be like "no, u died" (i did win in the end!)

Thank you for playing.πŸ™‚ Actually it was really hard and challenging for me to draw  items in  8X8 bits  canvas due to which Potato and coconut may look similar.

I will update this game . Where first a dialogue box appears  which contains the name of the object player  interacting with and then player will decide pick it or not.

that sounds good!! if you have trouble with that, you can maybe just put little sprite signs to first interact with.. but thats just because my brain isnt sure how to do what you wish to do without thinking about it for a while!

also i cant believe i forgot to say but your art looked great!! the rooms are so expressive and cool!!!!!
